Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how simpic handles information related to photo organizing. simpic is designed to be local-first: we do not upload your photos, videos, album contents, or organizing records to our servers.

Before App Store submission, replace the developer or company name, governing law, and public domain placeholders with your real information.

1. Overview

simpic helps you browse, review, keep, add to albums, mark for deletion, and delete photos. Unless you choose to send information through system sharing, email, or another channel, simpic does not transmit your photos or organizing records to us.

2. Data We Process

Data processed on your device

  • Photos, videos, Live Photos, screenshots, and album information from the photo library, used to show thumbnails, previews, and perform organizing actions.
  • Organizing state, such as kept, pending delete, deleted, processed counts, and lifetime cleaned counts.
  • App preferences, such as appearance, haptic feedback, Live Photo playback, automatic iCloud original downloads, and swipe distance.

Data we do not collect

  • We do not upload, store, or sell your photos, videos, or album contents.
  • We do not collect advertising identifiers and do not track you across apps or websites.
  • The current version does not require an account and does not collect your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, or payment information.

3. System Permissions

simpic requests photo access to read and organize your photo library. You can allow access to all photos, selected photos, or no photos in iOS Settings. You can change this authorization at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.

When you create an album, add photos to an album, or delete photos, simpic uses Apple's system Photos APIs. Before permanent deletion, iOS displays a system confirmation prompt. Deletion only happens after you confirm.

4. iCloud Original Downloads

If an original photo is stored only in iCloud, simpic may need to request the original image or Live Photo through Apple's system photo library APIs for previewing and organizing. This transfer occurs between your device and Apple iCloud and does not pass through our servers. You can turn off automatic iCloud original downloads in the app settings.

5. Sharing, Sale, and Tracking

We do not sell personal information, use your data for third-party advertising, or track you as defined by Apple across apps or websites. The current version does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or social login SDKs.

If you contact support, the information included in your feedback message will be used to respond to your request. Please do not send private photos or sensitive information unless necessary.

6. Your Choices and Controls

  • Photo access: manage the photo authorization scope in iOS Settings.
  • Local data: delete the app to remove local organizing records and preferences stored on the device.
  • iCloud downloads: turn off automatic iCloud original downloads in app settings.
  • Support contact: to access, delete, or correct support information you voluntarily submitted, contact us through the feedback center.

See the Privacy Choices page for more details.

7. Children's Privacy

simpic is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this policy for product, legal, or review reasons. The date at the top of the page will change when the policy is updated. Material changes may be announced in the app or on this website where reasonable.
